PR-1440B-1/2 Aircraft Integral Fuel Tank Sealant

The PR-1440B-1/2 is a two-component aerospace sealant for integral fuel tanks, manufactured by PPG Aerospace / PRC-DeSoto. It is a polysulfide Class B compound, developed for fillet sealing applications in fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage applications. The cured material maintains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline.

The B-1/2 designation indicates the Class B version with an application life of approximately 1/2 hour, at 77°F / 25°C and 50% relative humidity. The product is a low-sag thixotropic paste, applied with a spatula or extrusion gun.
