PR-1422B-2 Aircraft Integral Fuel Tank Sealant

The PR-1422B-2 is a two-component aerospace sealant for integral fuel tanks, manufactured by PPG Aerospace / PRC-DeSoto. It is a polysulfide, dichromate-cured, Class B sealant developed for fillet sealing applications in aircraft fuel tanks and fuselage systems. The cured material maintains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline.

The B-2 designation indicates the Class B version with an application life of approximately 2 hours. The product is a low-sag thixotropic paste applied by extrusion gun or spatula, ideal for areas requiring extended working time compared to faster-setting versions such as B-1/2.
