PR-1422B-1/2 Aircraft Integral Fuel Tank Sealant

The PR-1422B-1/2 is a two-component aerospace sealant for integral fuel tanks, manufactured by PPG Aerospace / PRC-DeSoto. It is a polysulfide compound cured by dichromate, Class B, developed for fillet sealing in fuel tanks and fuselage sealing applications in aircraft. The cured material maintains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline.

The B-1/2 designation indicates an approximate application life of 1/2 hour, with tack-free time less than 8 hours and cure to 35A in approximately 24 hours, at 77°F / 25°C and 50% relative humidity.
